20+ years of writing radio copy and I have yet to find a word more powerful than imagine

As marketers ... when we engage the consumer to the point where they are forming a mental picture in their mind of our brand, or story or even better:  imagining themselves using our brand:  we win big!

Imagination is a core Zeal ME value. 

I manage a Destination Imagination team of 7 and 8 year old kids who will spend an entire school year working on what we call a central challenge.  It is amazing to watch these kids learn about the challenge, imagine multiple solutions and construct a solution they will present at a tournament at the end of the school year. 

How important is imagination in building solutions?   

There is a classic challenge that we give 6th graders who have done a least a year of DI ... then ask a diverse group of college and post grads to solve the same problem.  The DI 12 year olds outscore the college grads almost 2 to 1 (the challenge is privileged and unfortunately cannot be shared for fear of it being on Google).

If the key marketing battle is for mind share, imagination is a powerful weapon.
